Hello, My name is Sybil. I am a Prevet Student and have worked at a Vet for over 2 years. The rule of thumb we usually tell people is to have enough litterboxes for each cat, plus one. If Charlie is the only cat you have then get 2 littler boxes, if you have 2 cats then get 3, etc. If you have several cats and you think that all these litter boxes will clutter your house, then simply clean the litter box often. Cats will not use a littler box that is smelly or not clean enough. This may require cleaning it more than once a day. Good luck!
Soor, I forrgot to include in my last reply to you is that having him neutered won't deffinately help. It will help but there is no guarantee. If you are thinking about breeding him then do not have him neutered but if you are not going to breed him then you should definately have him neutered if it helps the peeing problem or not. Neutering him is a lot healthier for him in the long run nad might help stop him from peeing around the house. (make sure after he pees on the floor, you clean it up immediately and completely. If he can smell the urine there later, he will most likey go there again.) Good Luck!
